Class Game: Pronunciation Journey
Make sure everybody sees the image above! Then write the following two columns somewhere by making sure that the students hear the difference in pronunciation:
| left | right |
|---|---|
| woman | women |
| place | plays |
| taught | thought |
| ship | sheep |
Tell the students that if you say a word from the left column they have to move left (from the ‘Start of journey’) and if you say a word from the right column they have to move right. Now you can begin to say four words, and they should shout at you in which city they have arrived.
